
The annual Shakespeare Compeition for high schools and middle schools provides opportunities for students to perform scenes and monologues that are adjudicated by theatre professionals and to apply basic performing skills to Shakespeare's literature. Non-competing students and coaches may also attend workshops for acting and technical theatre. Students also participate in viewing theatrical works being showcased at the Shakespearean Festival.
Compete against other schools by preparing a monolouge from Shakespearean worsks, to be adjudicated by professors.
Compete against other schools by preparing a scene from Shakespearean works, to be adjudicated by professors.
Compete in the Ensemble performanc scene against other schools, to be adjudicated by professors.
Compete in the Tech. Olympics to be adjudicated by theatre professionals.
Attend workshops and plays hosted by the conference and learn more about Shakespeare and Theatre in general.
The total cost for participation is between $275.00 and $300.00 dollars. This cost includes: registration fees; transportation to Cedar City; Hotel Accomodations; Food Money; Play Tickets.
A NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $150.00 IS DUE ON SEPTEMBER 16TH, 2011 AND THE REMAINDER DUE ON SEPTEMBER 23RD, 2011.
