Utah Theatre Association Conference

The Utah Theatre Association sponsors the annual conference in conjunction with the International Thespian Society. The UTA is committed to introducing high school studnets to representatives from college and university theatre programs. UTA has built a strong scholarship fund, and the UTA, along with conference sponsors give out over $5,000 in scholarships and awards to promising actors, designers and playwrights.

What can I do at the Conference?

  • Participate in workshops related to the many aspects of theatre and technical production.
  • Observe and watch productions from local High Schools and Universities after workshop sessions.
  • Network with professors, instructors, and students from all over Utah, building connections, sharing information and resources.
  • Submit an original play to the Utah Young Playwrights Festival.
  • Audition for scholarships with multiple Colleges and Universities.

Cost of Participation

The total cost for participation is between $275.00 and $300.00 dollars. This cost includes: registration fees; transportation to Dixie State College; Hotel Accomodations; Food Money; Play Tickets.


A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $150.00 IS DUE NOVEMBER 29, 2010 TO THE DRAMA CLUB ACCOUNT. THE REMAINDER IS DUE ON DECEMBER 13, 2010

November 29, 2010 Deposit Due None The non-refundable deposit of $150.00 is due to the Drama Club Account in the Main Office.
December 13, 2010 Remainder Amount Due None See Mr. Morrell for the remainder payment.
January 20 thru 22, 2011 UTA Conference Dixie State College Students will participate in workshops and productions during the three days of conference.
